This result follows from the 'Erdos-Stone Structure Theory', generalizing Turan's Theorem in extremal graph theory. The Königsberg Bridge Problem or Where Graph Theory was Invented. If you've studied graph theory you may have bumped into The Königsberg Bridge Problem which is essentially the first modern use of Graph Theory. In order to understand intuitively the relationships between these two theories, we study this problem from the viewpoint of graph theory. We conclude with a well-known unsolved problem in modern graph theory: does a Moore graph with diameter 2 and degree 57 exist? Are the only Moore graphs of diameter 2, except for graphs in one possibly empty class of exceptions. It is presented, in context, in Bollobas' excellent textbook 'Modern Graph Theory'. Modern portfolio theory (MPT), which originated with Harry Markowitz's seminal paper "Portfolio Selection" in 1952, has stood the test of time and continues to be the intellectual foundation for real-world portfolio management. Srivastava; 181 Numerical Analysis, Rainer Kress; 182 Ordinary Differential Equations, Walter, Thompson; 183 An Introduction to Banach Space Theory, Robert E. Indeed; this beautiful theorem is stated in Bollobas' “Modern Graph Theory,” Section I.5, where he gives the graph-theoretic proof. Like decimalization, high frequency trading, and algorithmic trading, and reveals how they align with MPT; Companion Website contains Excel spreadsheets that allow you to compute and graph Markowitz efficient frontiers with riskless and risky assets. Therefore, any partition of the universe can be represented by a family of complete graphs or cycles.
